Book Review: The Thomas Berryman Number by James Patterson

This is the first published novel by James Patterson and everyone has to start somewhere. For me the book was confusing and I ended up finishing it as I want to read all of the main James Patterson novels (not the Maximum Ride books etc).

Thomas Berryman is a hit man who is hired to kill Jimmie Horne who is the first African American mayor of Nashville. We read of Berryman's life and his confusing relocation from place to place prior to the hit.

We also read of Ochs Jones who is a Nashville reporter who is working on a story on Berryman to try and make his name in journalism. He endeavours to follow Berryman around to get his story.

The novel meanders around for page after confusing page and does not amount to much for me.

4/10 for this one from me.
