Book Review: Indigo Slam by Robert Crais (Elvis Cole 7)

I am now hooked on the Elvis Cole novels and I read this one really quickly. Once again, it is all jokes and quips at the beginning and then there is a bit of a fog while Robert Crais unfolds the story for you, then it is into the action with the bad guys.

This one concerns a family abandoned by its father with the mother dying years ago there is only Elvis to look after them. The father has serious problems and is linked with the bad guys. Elvis is contracted by the children and ends up doing more than the fee he is getting. A lot more!

The action at one point switches to Seattle but is mostly in Los Angeles. We enter the worlds of forgery, bad Russians and not quite so bad Vietnamese. There is plenty of action and suspense too.

We also get the relationship of Elvis and Lucy moved on too and this is left hanging for the next novel so I will have to get on and read that one soon too!

9/10 for me.
